The International Exchange Committee, under the Planning and Coordination Office, extends VAN’s solidarity beyond Korea, communicating directly with overseas universities, student bodies, youth organisations, research institutes, companies and key figures to build a global university network and pursue joint international projects.
VAN is in close contact with student leadership at MIT, Oxbridge, UCLA, Columbia, Toronto, NUS, UCL, NYU, Imperial College London, LSE, Sydney, Melbourne, HKU, KCL, McGill, Edinburgh, Manchester, British Columbia, Purdue, CUHK, Waterloo, Durham, Bristol, Alberta, Montréal, SMU, HKBU, SIT and SUSS, working toward the founding of a federation of universities.
On that basis VAN is expanding concrete cooperation such as joint statements and academic exchange, and plans national VAN chapters, English-language study groups, and multi-country seminars and hackathons.
