Burkenroad-style Equity Research Project

An independent research project covering small and mid-cap listed companies overlooked by brokerage analysts.

The Investment Research Committee, under the External Strategy Bureau, identifies and analyses small and mid-cap listed companies overlooked by domestic brokerages and analysts. It follows the Burkenroad Reports model, in which Tulane University students select companies, visit them and conduct management interviews alongside financial and industry analysis.

Teams take a single company through industry research, company visits and management interviews, financial analysis and modelling, valuation via DCF and comparable companies, investment points and risk factors, and expert review. Members verify the business and management explanations on site rather than only compiling documents.

Completed reports are published independently and distributed to brokerages, asset managers, financial institutions, media and academia, with actual results and market changes tracked at three, six and twelve months.
